One of TA's many strengths is its focus on technology. By designing a high technology architecture that has built-in redundancies we can ensure reliable service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our technology combines a web-based, multi-locale architecture and robust reading stations. This enables us to review cases via any secure Internet access, and hospital radiologists can be involved in the event of a catastrophic emergency or if an outside consultation is desired. TA provides a project management team to help clients with the logistics of setting up our teleradiology technology.
Our IPACS servers are distributed at locations around the United States. In the event of a regional power outage, images are immediately routed to a different pathway. Images may also be sent directly from the modality of the hospital DIACOM send box to one of several fixed TA IP addresses that are provided for back-up and from there to the appropriate radiologists via numerous pathways.
TA’s technology offers yet another fallback mechanism. Our architecture enables the hospital radiologists to log on via a secure Internet connection and see only their patients’ information on the IPACS servers. This system can be used in an emergency situation, and no additional software is required. The web-based software is provided free of charge to our clients from our IPACS servers.
Finally, TA ’s sub-specialized radiologists are able to work on cases that fit their focused expertise because TA’s proprietary technology solutions involve highly specialized workflow management models. This ensures timely access to the most highly qualified radiologist for each and every case. |
